What to blog?

Goodmorning Living Hope family and friends. Pondering what to blog I go through a list should I blog about the beginning of what took place 7 years ago on this date? How about in my recent studies the Giant of addictions? What about God's grace and riches? Aww, now there's a subject that gets my attention.

Looking at Paul's teachings in Romans  (this just happens to be what our Adult S.S. class is studying this quarter), I am studying the first 11 verses in Chapter 2. I want to focus on  Vs 4 "Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentence."

I believe that kindness (goodness if you are reading KJV) is what God's grace is towards our past sins. He knows what they are and yet He bestows upon us grace for forgiveness.

I believe that tolerance (forebearance in the KJV) is in regard to our present sins. God tolerates our sins and yet He offers us grace and forgiveness.

I believe that patience (longsuffering in the KJV) is God knowing what our future sins will be and again He has grace and forgivness for us.

These could be measured by 4 considerations:

1) greatness - to wrong man is to wrong God and yet He shows His great mercy.

2) omniscience - knowing all our sins God shows us mercy.

3) power - We are not able in our own power to settle our wrongs; God is rich in power & mercy and is able to settle them for us.

4) object - is man; would man show mercy? God is rich in mercy.

Men think that God's forbearance and longsuffering to be God's weakness and His approval of sin; they say, "if there is a God, he will.... And when it does not come to pass man says, "See, I told you, there is no God."

Man is so wrong, forbearance and longsuffering are God's strengths and His riches. God says through His Son, "you are forgiven."

Our sins; past, present and future are under these riches, grace and forgivness offered only through the Son, Jesus Christ.  We are being led to repentance.
